Privacy policy
Effective 6 November 2026
This policy explains how AmeriGo, Inc. ("AmeriGo", "we") handles information in TextForm, our field reporting service. TextForm is used by construction companies ("customers") and their workers, foremen, project managers and administrators.
Information we collect
- From people who text TextForm: mobile number, the messages you send and receive, your answers to report questions, and any photos, audio or video you upload. Voice notes and videos may be transcribed automatically.
- From dashboard users: name, work email, role, company and project assignments, and mobile number where provided. Passwords are stored only as a one-way hash.
- Consent records: whether you agreed to receive messages, and any STOP or START replies.
- Technical information: IP address, browser details and request logs, used to keep the service secure and to limit abuse. The dashboard uses one essential sign-in cookie. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use information
- To run the reporting conversation, build reports and show them to the right people in the customer's company.
- To send report questions, confirmations, scheduled check-ins, reminders and urgent-report alerts.
- To send account emails such as invitations and password resets.
- To secure, maintain and improve the service and to meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising.
Text messaging
Mobile numbers and messaging consent collected through TextForm are used only to provide the TextForm service. We do not share or sell mobile numbers or text messaging opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Workers opt in to SMS (text) messages by texting JOIN, as described at textform.amerigo.com/join. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop messages, or HELP for help.
Who can see information
- The customer company. Reports and evidence are visible only to signed-in people in that company, and only for the projects they are assigned to.
- Service providers that host and operate TextForm for us under contract, such as Amazon Web Services for hosting, storage, text messages, email and transcription, and, if a customer enables it, Meta for WhatsApp messages.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect people's safety.
Security
Evidence is kept in private, encrypted storage and served only through short-lived links. Upload links work once, for one report, for one hour. Dashboard access requires a company sign-in.
Retention
We keep report and account information for as long as the customer uses TextForm, or longer where the law requires. A customer can ask us to delete its data.
Your choices
Workers can stop messages at any time by replying STOP. To see, correct or delete information about you, contact the company that uses TextForm, or email us at support@amerigo.com.
Emergencies
TextForm is not an emergency service. If anyone is hurt or in danger, call 911 first.
Children
TextForm is a workplace tool and is not intended for anyone under 18.
